ABOUT THE BOOK: Based on the talk I've given to thousands of high school students, Eleven Life Lessons for Teenagers (and Everyone Else) is filled with wisdom and insight for teens as well as parents who're looking for help responding to their teenager's concerns. Intertwined with my honest sharing of my own personal challenges are the answers to eleven of teen’s most pressing questions including making a difference in the world, dealing with depression and anxiety, making mistakes, getting bad grades, improving relationships, taking risks, and finding hope in a challenging world.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR (ME!): I had a successful management consulting practice, earned a few degrees, was recognized for doing some impressive things, was an adjunct marketing professor, have given countless presentations and motivational talks, and have written hundreds of magazine columns and eight books including Romancing the Buddha (3rd edition), Eleven Life Lessons for Teenagers, and My Fifty Years of Buddhist Practice.
I play piano and harmonica, write about random things, and hike on mostly gentle paths with my wife of 55 years on a beautiful island in the Pacific Northwest.
I believe more than ever that encouraging and supporting young people is the most important thing we can do for the future of the planet!
